Rose-Marie Welch Obituary
It is with profound sadness that her family announces the passing of Rose-Marie (Rosa) Welch, 66, of Northfield on October 14, 2025, thus ending her battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
Family was intrinsically built into Rosa's genes. She was an impeccable listener, and her quiet strength was felt by all. The second of six children and one of 35 first cousins,
she was often found driving a sibling, daughter, niece or nephew to and fro. Rose Marie loved sports. She attended her daughters' many games and was a loyal Red Sox fan. She sent the best cards and was also a consummate coupon cutter. One of her greatest joys was becoming a Meméré to her beautiful twin granddaughters in 2020.
Rose-Marie was a devoted and loyal member of her community. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish. She was on the Board of the Pines Community Center for years and served as its President. She was often seen in the kitchen helping at their fund-raising breakfasts. Rose-Marie was on the Checklist for Northfield and also served as the Supervisor. An insurance broker for most of her career, for 34 of those years she was the face and voice of the Gale Insurance Agency greeting customers with a smile that you could hear even over the phone. It seemed like everyone in the Tilton-Northfield area knew who she was.
Rose-Marie is survived by her husband of 46 years, Steven, her children Kimberly Denton (Clayton) and twin granddaughters Blake and Flynn of Merrimack, Stacey Paul (Danny) of Craig, Colorado and Jason Welch (Karen) and family of Orem, Utah.
She is also survived by her four siblings Sharon Paquette (Eric), Lee Ann Paquette (Bruce), Richard Paquette, René Paquette (Douglas), her nieces Devon, Kerissa and Rebecca, her nephews Richard, Artie, Ian and Cameron, her aunt, uncles, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her infant son, Zachary, her parents R. Paul and Annette Paquette and her baby sister Kristin Michelle.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, October 21st at the Smart Memorial Home in Tilton from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and the funeral will be on Wednesday October 22nd at 11:30 am at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Loudon Road, in Concord. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery in Tilton directly after the funeral for immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to The Pines Community Center 61 Summer St. Northfield, NH. pinescommunitycenter.com
