Gloria Martin Obituary
Contoocook, NH - Gloria Martin of Contoocook, NH, passed away peacefully at home on May 6, 2024, at the age of 97. Gloria was born on January 26, 1927, in Astoria, NY. Residents of Contoocook since the late 70's, she and her husband John enjoyed the second half of their lives in a very welcoming neighborhood. They made many new friends and enjoyed playing cards and Rummikub with them.
Gloria spent her life as a homemaker and Mom to her two daughters Janet and Suzanne. She would always put everyone's needs ahead of her own. She will be missed so very much.
Mom loved gardening, sewing, shopping, and too many other things to mention. On plenty of winter afternoons John and Gloria could be found huddled over the pieces of a puzzle, each looking for the perfect fit.
Gloria is survived by her children and their spouses Janet and Drew, and Suzanne and Chris, her grandson Andrew, and great grandson Nico and her best friend Socks.
The family would like to acknowledge everyone at Granite VNA and VNA Hospice for taking such good care of our Mom. We are so grateful to you all.
Visitation will be 12:00-1:00PM on Friday the 24th of May at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium located at 172 King Street, Boscawen, NH followed by a funeral service at the same location. Interment will be immediately after the service at the Blackwater Cemetery in Hopkinton, NH.
