Dolores Plotkin Obituary

Dolores Plotkin (nee Keyser), of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, at the age of 84. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gerald Jay Plotkin; loving children, Gregory Ian Plotkin and Andrew Howard (Heather) Plotkin; adored grandchildren, Emilia, Gabriela, Jordan and Cameron. She was predeceased by her caring brother, Eddie Keyser; and dear parents, Israel and Mildred Keyser.

Dolores, lovingly known as "Dee," was a woman of creativity, adventure, and unmistakable flair. In 1981, she founded her own professional video production company, capturing life's most meaningful milestones-weddings, Mitzvahs, and celebrations-with care and artistry. She had a natural gift for preserving memories, and countless families will forever cherish the moments she so thoughtfully recorded. Just as memorable as her work behind the camera was her quick wit; Dee had the best sense of humor and could always be counted on to make everyone around her laugh.

Later in life, Dee channeled that same creativity into jewelry-making, crafting beautiful pieces that reflected her vibrant spirit and keen eye for detail. She was endlessly artistic and always found joy in making something meaningful with her hands. Her playful personality and sharp sense of humor made even ordinary days brighter for those fortunate enough to spend time with her.

She had a deep love for musicals and the magic of Broadway. Trips to New York to see shows were among her favorite adventures, and some of her most treasured memories were made bringing her grandchildren along to experience the wonder of live theater. She believed in sharing what she loved-and Broadway was at the top of that list.

Dee also had a tender heart for animals, especially cats, who always seemed to find comfort in her gentle care. That same warmth extended to her family and friends. She had a true zest for life and travel-from the warm beaches of Aruba and the Caribbean to the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska-and embraced every journey with enthusiasm. She enjoyed the thrill of bingo and keno, the excitement of Las Vegas, peaceful fishing trips in Ocean City, and camping adventures at Deep Creek Lake and campgrounds near and far.

Whether she was behind a camera, crafting jewelry, sitting in a theater seat before the curtain rose, casting a fishing line into the water, or sharing a perfectly timed joke, Dee lived fully and joyfully-always ready for the next adventure and always happiest when surrounded by the people she loved.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Thursday, February 19th, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Interment Hebrew Young Men's Cemetery, Windsor Mill Road.
