Died: March 29, 2025
Lynda Carol Stroud, 85, of Genoa, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2025, surrounded by love and family.
Born in Sycamore, Illinois on February 27, 1940, she was the daughter of Hugo Carl Wolf and Freda Mae (Montgomery) Wolf. She married Earl Eugene Stroud in Genoa on June 22, 1958. They were married 57 years before Earl's passing in 2016.
Survivors include three children, Cindy (Jim) Dunlea, Dyanne (Russ) Cline and Mark (Teresa) Stroud; sister Donna Lee Miller; 19 grandchildren- (of Jim and Cindy Dunlea)- Joshua, Caleb, Rebekah, Andrew, Angela, Melissa, Benjamin, Amanda, Jonathan, and Abigail, (of Russ and Dyanne Cline)- Kevin, Eric, David, Amy and Keith, (of Mark and Teresa Stroud)- Kayla, Kimberly, Ashley, and Marcus; and many, many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Alice Paulson, and her twin sister, Louise Muhl.
A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held on Sunday, April 27, at Crosswind Community Church 13100 Cherry Road, Genoa IL with Pastor Gary Roca and Pastor Gary Cortese officiating. Service will begin at 1:30 pm.
