Carol Salter Obituary

Carol Ann Salter, 79, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on February 5, 2025. Mrs. Salter was born on March 28, 1945, in Des Moines, IA. She married the love of her life, Glenn Salter, in 1960. Glenn served in the Army, so they lived in many places over the years. She always had a love for the water and swimming. She was a lifeguard for many years. As a young lady, she participated in many triathlons. She also enjoyed listening to country music, especially George Strait. Mrs. Salter was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of the Olive Branch Church of Christ. She had a heart for people and caring for them in their time of need. When they lived in California, she was very active with hospice care and was passionate about her work and those that she served. She enjoyed traveling and her favorite travel destination was Hawaii. Mrs. Salter was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Virginia Ryan; and her oldest son, David Salter. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Glenn Salter; son, Paul Salter (Lexcine); son, Peter Salter (Juan Ellen); son, Brian Salter (Noel); grandchildren: Sean, Verity, Andrew, Brock, Lance, William, Rebecca, and Brittany; and great-grandchildren, Isabella, Phillip, Grace, and Gloria. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Olive Branch Church of Christ on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm.
