Kenneth "Ken" Haider, age 64, of Otsego, MN, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on July 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Ken was born in Sauk Centre, MN, grew up in Elrosa, MN and graduated from Belgrade High School. He furthered his education at Willmar Community College and St. Cloud Technical College.
Ken was the proud partner and co-owner of Genco Builders for over 30 years, building more than just homes-he built relationships, trust, and a reputation for hard work and generosity.
A lifelong lover of baseball, Ken played amateur baseball for 15 years and was honored with induction into the Elrosa Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022.
Ken found great joy in the simple things-sunny days on the golf course, NASCAR trips, and vacations. Most important was the time spent at their lake place in Alexandria with family and friends having endless bonfires, fishing, gorgeous sunsets, and of course lots of projects done over the past 24 years.
Whether it was swinging a hammer or sharing a laugh, Ken dropped everything to help others. He recently completed his final and most personal project: building the family's lake home-a place that brought him immense happiness and where many beautiful memories have been made.
More than anything, Ken adored his family. He lit up talking about his children and grandchildren and was never happier than when surrounded by them. His kindness, warmth, and selflessness touched everyone he met, and his presence will be deeply missed by all.
Ken was a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, loyal son and brother, and a friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife Stacey; children Adam (Brittney) Deters, Taylor Haider, and Madison (Nick) Krantz; and his cherished grandchildren Eviana, Weston, and Parker. He is also survived by his mother Donna; siblings Keith (Joyce) Haider, Cheryl (Pat) Fischer, Gregg (Karla) Haider, and Steve Peterson and many nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his sister Cindy and his beloved father Vince.
