Doris Lee (Eberhart) Hellman, age 93, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, at CHRISTUS St. Joseph Village in Coppell, Texas. She was born on September 13, 1931, in Muenster, Texas, to Ruben and Ernie (Huchton) Eberhart. Doris is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Wayne LaMonte Hellman, M.D. and by their five children: – Daughters: Susie Phillips, Barbara Classe (Charlie), and Brenda Bielamowicz (Matt) – Sons: Chris Hellman, M.D. (Sarah), and Patrick Hellman (Caroline) She is also survived by seven grandchildren: John Classe (Melanie), Jennifer Cross (Jason), Katie Bielamowicz (Alex Bárcenas Amezcua), Rebecca Bielamowicz, PhD (Max Reason, PhD), Martha Bogdon (Wade), Laura Hellman, and Will Hellman; and by four great-grandchildren: Harley Classe, Mason Classe, Boston Cross, and Penn Cross. Additional survivors include her siblings: Tim Hellman (Carol), Eddie Hellman (Donna), and Peggy Gobble (Larry); her sisters-in-law, Alice Hellman and Nancy Hellman; her brother-in-law, Frank Hess; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Clarence Hellman; her son-in-law, Rick Phillips; her brothers, Jimmy Hellman and C.J. Hellman; her sisters, Mary Nell Newman and Dyann Hess, and her brother-in-law C.J. Newman. Doris grew up in Muenster and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1949. She received her nursing degree from the Saint Paul Hospital School of Nursing in Dallas in 1952. On June 9, 1953, she married Monte at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster. Following time spent in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Neubrucke, Germany, Doris and Monte settled in Dallas, where they lived for the remainder of their lives together. Above all else, Doris was caring and warm-hearted. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her quiet faith and devotion to the rosary brought her comfort and strength throughout her life. She was happiest at family gatherings, and our family adored her for her selfless gifts as a loving mother and homemaker. The family offers heartfelt thanks to her caregivers: Clare, Maria, Nelly, Cathy, and Britt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at CHRISTUS St. Joseph Village, 1205 East Sandy Lake Road in Coppell, on Tuesday, August 26th, at noon, with a celebration of life to follow.
