Jerry Martin Obituary

MARTIN, Jerry Jerry Edward Martin was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 3, 1941 to J.E. Martin and Audrey Maye Vandiver. He passed away on December 30, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. After serving in the U.S. Army in Germany, Jerry began his career in the construction business working as a civilian for Brown and Root Construction Company in Vietnam. Jerry also spent time with General Portland Cement Company before starting his own business, Martex Floors. He retired from C&C Engineering in 2018. Jerry is survived by his wife of 50 years Mary Ellen McGauley Martin, daughter Amy Martin Hejnicki and husband Mark, son Joseph Edward Martin and wife Amber, grandson Kyle Hejnicki and wife Lauren, granddaughters Kathryn Hejnicki, Courtney Hejnicki. Emily Martin, Sabrina Martin, great-granddaughter Lucille Hejnicki, brother Danny Martin, and sister Diane Martin. Jerry was a member of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas where a memorial service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 am on Friday, January 10, 2025 followed by a reception in the parlor.
