Delsi Martin, 85, was reunited with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 13, 2026. Delsi was born and raised in Tiffin, Ohio.
With deliberate care and compassion, her career as a Registered Nurse impacted many lives. If you ever went to Mercy Hospital (the old one they tore down) and it was a weekend evening, or late night, then surely you met Delsi! She was the 3rd shift Nursing Supervisor there for many years, retiring in 2007.
Delsi was a woman of God called to serve her community. She volunteered her time at many places, but Meals-On-Wheels, Hospice, the American Red Cross, and The Ritz Theatre come to mind from the many who received her time and talents.
Throughout retirement she used her God-given talents to support St. Mark's Lutheran Church and the Delaware, Ohio community. Delsi was especially proud of her three children, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, all of whom brought her true joy, hard belly laughs, crisis tears and loving bear hugs (also there were many cats).
Visitation is Friday, March 27, 2026, from 5-8 p.m. at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883; Funeral Service is at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 28th (breakfast at 9 a.m.) at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Wendy Richter, 28 E. William St., Delaware, Ohio 43015. Immediately after the Service, Delsi Martin's cremated remains will be given back to the earth at Oakhill Cemetery, 13623 County Highway 119, Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351, with the Nursing Honor Guard.

Delsi was my friend. She taught me to better understand patience. We shared home communion and she always remembered the Lord's Prayer. She loved her cookies and muffins. She shared her concerns over the missing buttons on her sweater and the advertisement from a favorite place in Tiffin. Indeed, Delsi was a compassionate angel on earth. Thank you Delsi. Prayers for comfort and peace to your family.
