DELAWARE — Linda L. Picklesimer, age 81, of Delaware, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, March 27, 2026, at the Avalon of Lewis Center.
She was born on June 2, 1944, in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Walter Raymond Caplinger and Opal Mae (Everetts) Caplinger. Linda was a 1962 graduate of Northwestern High School. On August 22, 1964, she married the love of her life, Earl Layne Picklesimer, and together they shared nearly 62 wonderful years of marriage. Earl and Linda met when they were 7 years old and started dating when they were 16.
Linda dedicated 40 years of her life working as a medical secretary, a career marked by diligence and compassion. She was a devoted and faithful member of the Worthington Christian Church, where she especially enjoyed singing soprano. Linda also gave generously of her time as a volunteer at Worthington Christian Village.
Above all else, Linda cherished time spent with her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren but was never the typical "cookie-baking grandma." She also enjoyed working on word search puzzles and watching television crime shows, with Perry Mason being her favorite. Linda was truly loved by everyone she met; she never had an enemy and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her Sunday night Bible study group and her friends at Worthington Christian Village.
She is survived by her loving husband, Earl Picklesimer; her daughter, Janelle Picklesimer; and her son, Daulton (Tiffoney) Picklesimer; her grandchildren, Logan (Cheyenne), Jacob, Lucas, Kylie and Clayton along with three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Jane Way and Joyce Dyer.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive at W. William St., Delaware. Funeral services celebrating Linda's life will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., with Scott Hawk officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 8200 W. National Road, New Carlisle, Ohio.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Avalon of Lewis Center and the care team at Mount Carmel Hospice for the excellent care and compassion they provided to Linda.
