Margie Kay Drury

1946 ~ 2025

- Margie "Kay" Drury, age 79, left this world with the same grit, grace, and good humor that defined her life. A mother, grandmother, horse whisperer, and self-proclaimed "tough old bird," Kay was a woman who didn't just survive-she fought for life and inspired everyone around her to do the same.

She loved deeply and fiercely-especially when it came to her family and her favorite four-legged friend, Casper the horse. (Some say Casper got more birthday cards than her kids. We're not saying it's true-but we're not saying it isn't.)

Kay's greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her daughter Tammy, her son Michael Drury, and her daughter Holly Drury. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Lauren, Piper, Ashton, Michael, Utah, and Juliana and great grandmother of Keira -who all inherited her stubborn streak, her generous heart, and possibly her sweet tooth.

Kay had the kind of spirit and smile that could fill a room. She believed in second chances, long hugs, and the healing power of a good cup of tea-preferably served with a side of chocolate and a no-nonsense pep talk.

The family would like to thank the many angels in scrubs at Rocky Mountain Care – The Lodge in Heber City, Utah. Your kindness, patience, and sense of humor were a perfect match for Margie (and not an easy feat).

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28th, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah 84092. A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., with services following at 11:00 a.m. Come prepared to laugh, cry, and celebrate a life lived to the fullest.

In honor of Kay, please remember to hug your loved ones a little tighter, never pass up dessert, and-above all-keep fighting for what matters.
