D'Anne Loffland Obituary

D'Anne B. Loffland

September 28, 1946 - May 11, 2025

Fort Worth, Texas - Davyd Anne (D'anne) Borders Loffland, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of her devoted family, just as she lived her life, with grace, dignity, and the people she cherished most by her side.

A memorial service and celebration of life to honor and celebrate D'anne's life was held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church, 1000 Penn St., Fort Worth. She was privately laid to rest in Greenwood Memorial Park.

D'anne was a mother to many and the true heart of her family. Her greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She poured her love into every part of their lives, celebrating them with warmth and unwavering devotion.

She was a true creative spirit who found beauty in the world and helped others see it, too. Whether through her love of art, her eye for design, or the thoughtful way she made each person feel seen and special.

D'anne was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Dave and Flora Borders. A proud graduate of Arlington Heights High School and Texas Christian University, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, the Junior League of Fort Worth, The Assembly, and Jewel Charity Ball. She gave her time and heart to these organizations with humility and joy.

She was married for 45 beautiful years to the love of her life, Thomas Ridgway Loffland, who preceded her in death. Together, D'anne and Tom built a life full of laughter, travel, shared values, and most of all, family. Their marriage was a partnership rooted in deep affection and mutual admiration, and their legacy lives on in the generations that follow.

D'anne is survived by her beloved son, Thomas William Loffland and his wife, Michelle; her cherished daughter, Anne Elizabeth Loffland and her husband, David Kramer; and her adored grandchildren, Thomas Ridgway Loffland II, Olivia Anne Loffland, Ashton Elizabeth Laird, and Jackson Malone Kramer, each of whom lit up her world. She is also survived by her sister, Jan Simus Curry; her adored niece, Ginny; and brother-in-law, Fred Middleton of San Antonio; along with a large circle of extended family and dear friends who will forever remember her kindness, strength, and generous heart.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in D'anne's name to the Fort Worth Police SWAT Support Group (6125 Plum Valley, Fort Worth, TX 76116) or the Marine Recon Foundation (https://www.reconfoundation.org)

D'anne leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and quiet strength. Though our hearts are heavy, we are all better and lucky for having known her. And we carry her light with us, always.
