Kenneth Pannell Obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" Wayne Pannell passed away July 17, 2025 in Ripley, MS at the age of 49. He was born April 6, 1976 to Vickey Pannell Armstrong in Ripley, MS. He worked as a Senior General Superintendent at Century Construction and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Kenny loved saw milling, mowing, going to the gym, family cookouts and spending time with his family and friends.

His Visitation will be Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McBride Funeral Home Chapel. His Service will be June 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the McBride Funeral Home Chapel.

Kenny is survived by his mother: Vickey Pannell Armstrong (Curtis) of Falkner, MS; his wife: April Michelle Tapp Pannell of Ripley, MS; one son: Kenneth Cole Pannell of Ripley, MS; three daughters: Morgan Edwards (Dakota) of Pontotoc, MS, Olivia Waters of Ripley, MS, Haley Meeks (Dalton) of Pontotoc, MS; two brothers: Charles Collums (Shelia) of Ripley, MS, Joe Russell (Angie) of Chattanooga, TN; one step-brother: Eric Armstrong (Shelby) of Ripley, MS; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Lonnie and Carolyn Tapp; three grandchildren: Kensli Kirk, Holden Gregory Edwards and Jack Ryan Edwards.

He was preceded in death by one brother: James Norris Russell, his grandparents: James and Ollie Pannell; several aunts and uncles.

Officiating will be Bro. Trey South. Pallbearers: Sammy Nutt, Ryan Jeter, Sam Capshaw, Johnny Cole, Mark Pannell, Timmy Gaillard, Curtis Shields, Austin Canerdy. Honorary Pallbearers: Century Construction employees.
