Carol Tiberio Obituary

SAVANNAH - Carol Tiberio, age 85, passed away peacefully, Friday, January 3, 2025 at her home with her family by her side.

Friends and family are invited to call, Tuesday (January 7), from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at The Norton Funeral Home 13081 W. Church St., Savannah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday (January 8) at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 1583 Grand Ave, Savannah. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery Mausoleum in Clyde.

Contributions in Carol's memory may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 43 W. DeZeng St., Clyde, N.Y. 13146.

A lifelong resident of Savannah, Carol was born August 11, 1939, the daughter of the late John and LaVerna (Boyer) King. Her beauty and grace were recognized as she was crowned on a Sunday afternoon in 1957 as 4-H Rose Queen in the Jackson and Perkins Rose garden in Newark. She was the Valedictorian of her Savannah High School class where she excelled as a student, majorette and cheerleader. She was very active in 4-H and won countless awards for her cooking, baking and sewing abilities. She used these skills to build a loving home for her husband of 56 years, Joe, and her children Joe and Theresa. Together with her husband she ran the Tiberio Brothers Hardware store. Once her children were both in school, she began her career in the Clyde-Savannah School system which spanned over 35 years. She served in many capacities within the school from cafeteria service to kindergarten aide to reading assistant to most prominently elementary and district office secretary. She loved the children and the children in return loved her. It was a pleasure to be greeted in any office by the impecibly dressed, bright smiling, kind and helpful Mrs. Tiberio. Carol could be seen cheering in the stands at any CS game (especially basketball) and was an avid SU and Notre Dame fan. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Patrick's Church. Carol, alongside her many dear friends of the Altar and Rosary Society were instrumental in making the current church built in 1964 possible. Carol enjoyed gardening and was quite good at it, which was evident by the beautiful gardens surrounding her home spring, summer and fall. Over the past 5 years Carol was happy to reside at The Brick Corner Senior Living building where she was able to keep watch over her former family home and live in the company of so many wonderful new friends. Carol was a faithful friend to all and had many yet will be most sadly missed by her dear friend Elaine.

Carol is survived by her son, Joseph (Angela) Tiberio of Honeoye Falls; her daughter Theresa (Rich) Molisani of Clyde; grandchildren Nicholas (Tara) Tiberio, Nathalie(Rob) Adamthwaite, Nadine (Michael) Trinidad, Nathan Tiberio, Giulia, Carley, and Rachael Molisani; great grandchildren William, Samuel, and Evelyn Tiberio; Oliver, Owen, Finn Adamthwaite; Althea and Aidan Trinidad and Luciano Tavolino; a sister Bonnie Hartmann; brothers Donald (Carolyn) and Norman (Karen) King; brother-in-law Carlo (Sydney) Tiberio; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carol was predeceased by her parents John and Bunnie King, her husband (Victor) Joe Tiberio and her brother Kenneth King.
