John Plaine Obituary

John Kenneth Plaine, age 89, died suddenly at his home on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Born July, 25, 1932 he was the son of the late John Cleaveland and Anna Mary Scheller Plaine. He was the loving husband to his late wife Mary Ellen Plaine who died in 2014. John was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He enjoyed going to the beach with his family and spending time with friends and cooking. He is survived by daughters, Kelly Suzann Kreit of Taneytown and Kinbelry Sue Morgan and husband James of McHenry, Ill, and son, Kevin Plaine of Hampstead, MD; grandchildren Jeffery and Ashley Morgan and Georgie Kreit and; great-grandchildren, Gwen Supthin Jaden, Triston and Cameron Morgan and Dillion Kreit; sisters, Grace Smith of Taneytown and Evelyn McNair of Fairfield, PA. He was predeceased by granddaughter, Suzann Morgan and sisters, Margaret Horning and Jenevieve Fogle and brothers, Charles, Alton and Oliver Plaine. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Emmanuel Baust Church Cemetery, 2550 Old Taneytown RD, Westminster, 21158 at 12 p.m. with Rev. Dull officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice. Online condolences can be made at www.myersdurborawfh.com
