Judy Braden Obituary

Judy Gail Neal Braden, age 69 years, 10 months and 4 days, widow of Gary Braden, passed from this life on August 10, 2021 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

Judy was born in Hayes Creek, Kentucky on October 6, 1951 to the late Donald Odis and Alma Baird Neal. She was an EMT, LPN, and worked for Winchester, Patton & Burgess physician’s office, she was also an X-ray technician. Judy attended Hayes Creek Church of God, and Whitley City Church of God, she was extremely proud of being a Kentucky Colonel and she enjoyed doing crafts, softball, jeep riding, snake hunting, hiking, and being outdoors, but her family and grandkids were her greatest joy.

She is survived by her son; Barry Braden and companion, Kelly Marcum, of Stearns, KY., daughter; Jennifer Bailey and companion Tim Ball II, also of Stearns, KY., step-mother; Floda Neal of Pine Knot, KY., brother; Jerry Neal and wife Melinda of Pine Knot, KY., and half-brother Donnie Odis Neal of Williamsburg, KY., daughter-in-law; Paula Braden of Stearns, KY., grandchildren; Taylor Braden, Leah Braden, Morgan Bailey, and Caden Bailey, great-grandchildren; Marley and Waylon, along with numerous nieces and nephews that were very special to her.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Gary Braden, her brother; Donnie Neal, grandparents; Hazel and Virgil Neal, Hazel and Coy Baird, mother and father-in-law; Earl and Beulah Braden.

Celebration of life service for Judy is scheduled for Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 PM in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home with speaker, FR-Mike Neal. Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family of Judy Gail Braden with her Memorial Service.
