Roger Stottlemyer Obituary

Roger Wayne Stottlemyer, age 78, of Keymar, died Monday, July 21, 2025 at Frederick Health Hospital. Born January 19, 1947 in Legore, he was the son of the late Paul Elnore Stottlemyer and Nellie G. Wetzel Stottlemyer. He was the husband of Tracy L. Stottlemyer, his wife of 22 years.

Roger worked at the Barrick quarry, was owner-operator of R.W.S. Excavating and Pap-Pap's Snack Shack. He was a member of Oak Hill Church of God and a lifetime member of T.C.S.C.

In addition to his wife he is survived by 5 stepchildren - Tabitha, Tiffany, Elizabeth, Brandon and Brent; granddaughter Tiffany Stottlemyer-Winfrey; great grandson Maurice Summers and sister Sarah (Sally) Dodd. He was predeceased by 7 sisters and brothers.

A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 25 at Oak Hill Church of God, with Rev. Mark Ginter officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro and one hour prior to service at church.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Midway Volunteer Fire Co., 12019 Woodsboro Pike, Keymar, MD 21757.
