Richard Arthur Hetge
Richard Arthur Hetge, 83, died Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 6:29 a.m. in Alton, IL. He was born January 18, 1942 in Alton, the son of the late Arthur and Lelia (Lozier) Hetge. Richard retired in 2004 after 43 years from OI Godfrey Machine shop in Godfrey, IL.
He married Wilma Meyer and then married Sonia Lawson.
He was a member of Elm St. Presbyterian church, where he was active. After Elm St. Presbyterian Church dissolved in 2017, Richard joined Faith Fellowship Church where he was an active member.
Surviving are two sons, Ken (Della) Hetge of Viola, AR and Roger (Debbie) Hetge of Alton and six grandchildren, R.J. Hetge, Gracie Hetge, Malinda Ulery, Jenna Ulery, Jason Dusel, and Joe Dusel.
In accordance with his wish, cremation rites will be accorded. At the request of Richard Hetge no public services will be held. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to Faith Fellowship Church in Alton.
