Michael Shaffer Obituary
GALION - Michael E. Shaffer, age 78, of Galion passed away Sunday May 18, 2025, at his home.
Born February 20, 1947, in Galion, he was the son of Emery and Marjorie (Staub) Shaffer. He was a 1965 graduate of Galion High School. He then served in the U. S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam War.
Mike enjoyed doing puzzles and crossword puzzles. He liked to garden and was a big Ohio sports fan.
He is survived by his mother Marjorie, sister Lynne Goldsmith, nephews Scott Goldsmith and Steve (Kelly) Goldsmith and his great nephews Gavin and Weston Goldsmith. He was preceded in death by his father Emery Shaffer.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday May 23, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery in Galion with Pastor Chris Buckingham-Taylor officiating. Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes in Galion is honored to serve the family of Michael Shaffer, and condolences may be made to them at www.SnyderFuneralHomes.com.
