Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Ullom Family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to troops in Afghanistan this week and we'll be dedicating several of these to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and the hometown of Aaron D. Ullom US Navy Hospitalman. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

To the family of Aaron, this first anniversary is tough and we know they will not get any easier. Thank you for sharing your loved one with us to keep us free. Although we didn't personally know Aaron, we did attend the visitation with members of MHSTT. May God give you the strength to carry on without him. We will keep you and all the other brave families and troops in our prayers.

We just had a memorial ceremony in his honor at the Surface Warfare Medical Institute San Diego Ca. It was very nice and all the Navy C school students were in attendance. I am a Navy Hospital Corpsman Chief and it is wonderful to see our young Sailors support and care and remember each other. It breaks my heart every time we lose one on our Corpsman Brothers and I pray for his loved ones to find the strength to carry on. Thank you so much for your sacrifice I am personally in debt to your family.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
I Salute You.

A Letter from God To
The Family Of
Seaman Aaron Ullom
Dear Child of Mine,
I am the God of all comfort. I will hold you in my arms of compassion and sing you my song of grace.
I will touch the wounds within you, and in my perfect season, I will lift you from this place of pain.
But I want you to know that as I am healing you, I am also creating within you a healing ministry of your own.
For to be healed by me is to be made a healer.
You see, the very comfort that I am working into your broken heart through the power of my words, and the love of my people is meant to be recycled.
Someday when your heart has grown strong again, I will send someone into your life who is as broken as you are today.
And the compassion I am pouring into you now will flow from
you to that hurting soul.
You will know how to comfort him because you will have been where he is.
You will resonate with his pain.
You will reach into the depth of your own healing and love him back to life for Me. What a precious vessel you will be to Me then.
A vessel once humbled and hurt---and then healed to be healer! This is My Plan for you.
Love Forever, God
We are so sorry your Blue Star has turned to Gold
May God be with you at this most difficult time granting you peace and comfort

Abide With Me( Lutheran Hymn Book 552)
Abide with me fast falls the even tide
The darknessdeepens Lors with me Abide
When other helper's fail and comforts flee
Lord of the helpless Oh Abide with me
Swift to it's close ebbs out little day
Earth's joys grow dim it's glories pass away
change and decay in all around I see
O Thou who changest not abide with me
Not a brief glance I beg ; A passing word
But as Thou dwealst with Thy disciples Lord
Familiar , condescending , patient free
Come not to sojourn but abide with me
I fear no foe ,with Thee at hand to bless'
ILLs have no weight and tears no bitterness
WHERE IS DEATH'S STING WHERE GRAVE THY VICTORY?
I triumph still if Thou abide with me
Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes
Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies
Heaven's morning breaks and earth's vain shadow's flee
In life and death o Lord abide with me
I am Sure our Lord was with Aaron all the way Mya God be with you as you honor Aaron's memory

Debi: I was so saddened to read of Arron's death. It hit so close to home, my brother Dennis Skutt was 21 on June 3rd, and killed in Viet Nam July 11, 1967. We even had Ware Smith Funeral Home. It seems so long ago, and other times like it was yesterday. I was only 12 at the time and didn't realize how young 20 and 21 is until my boys got that age...they were nothing but kids fighting a war far away. Aaron will be remembered as a hero, just as my brother is to this day. He will never be forgotten, and will live with you forever just as Denny has with us. I will keep you in my prayers as I so remember what will be ahead of you in the next few days and months. Another soldier's parents sent my parents a poem and it helped my Mom so much. If I can find it I will post it for you.
