Adam Dombach Obituary

Adam Nathaniel Dombach was born October 21, 1980 and died August 25, 2011. Adam was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he lived most of his life, spending a few years during and after high school in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He passed away in Texas in an ATV accident while traveling with family to his cousin's wedding. Adam was a hard worker, being a dedicated plumber employed at Johnson Heating and Plumbing, owned by his uncle Rick Johnson. Adam was one of three sons born to David Dombach and Rhonda Johnson Wootton, both of Colorado Springs. He will be remembered forever by his devoted family, including his brothers, Seth Michael Dombach of Sumas, Washington and Jesse Boyd Dombach of Colorado Springs. He was a wonderful father of six-year-old Aiden Andrew Patterson, whom Adam loved more than anyone else in the world. Adam is also survived by his stepfather, Richard Wootton, three nephews, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, both from the Johnson and Dombach families, and counltess friends who will all treasure his memory and feel blessed to have known him. Adam loved spending time with people, living life to its fullest, and played hard. He was the kind of friend who would give the shirt off his back with no second thought to his own well-being. As per Adam's wishes, he was an organ donor, which was in complete compliance with his character: "If I can help someone else, I will." Adam worked and socialized with his family on a daily basis, which formed incredibly strong bonds that will last for eternity. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending as much time as he could boating and fishing, and most of all, playing with his son, Aiden. Adam's friends and family will always treasure his great contribution to every single one of their lives. You always knew looking into Adam's eyes and contagious smiles and by his monstrous bear hugs that no matter how hard life was, it was all good. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service celebrating Adam's life on Friday, September 2 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 219 E. Bijou, Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that contributions be made to a special college fund for his son, Aiden. Contributions can be sent to the Adam Dombach Memorial Fund, c/o Chase Bank, 402 N. Tejon Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80903.

Dear Rhonda Peggy and the entire Dombach family, I was so very sad to hear about my sweet Adam. although I haven't seen him in quite a while,I will never forget when he rode the Get-Set bus! I could always see him in my rear veiw mirror, he would smile and give me the sweetest wink. He told me "when I grow up Im going to policeman and I will never give you a ticket". I guess he thought I drove too fast! I tried not to have favorites, but Adam made me break that rule. I will always have a special place in my heart for you Adam. God bless you all. Karen Padilla

Rhonda, there are literally no words for the loss of a child. If you lose your husband, you are a widow. If you lose your parents, you are an orphan. But when you lose your child, there is no word for that pain. Warren and I are praying for God's comfort to wrap around you, like a favorite blanket, keeping you protected through your grieving the loss of a wonderful young man. It is obvious that Adam will be fondly remembered by the many people his life touched. Cathy & Warren Miller

August 30, 2011

Dave,
I am so sorry for your unbelieveable loss. As parents we don't expect to lose one of our children before our time. I have wanted to hold my kids close and try to protect them from harm but I know this is an unreasonable thought and we have to let them have wings to fly their own path. Adam must've like to ATV. Since I never got the chance to meet him... this gives me something to remember him by and of course his 6 year old son. You are all in my prayers, now and always,

Many tender memories soften your grief, May fond recollection bring you relief, And may you find comfort and peace in the thought Of the joy that knowing your loved one brought... For time and space can never divide Or keep your loved one from your side When memory paints in colors true The happy hours that belonged to you. May god give you the strength to get thru this sad time...

Dear Dave, Rhonda, Jesse, Seth, and Aiden,
Jimmy and I can hardly believe that Adam has passed. So many emotions and so many regrets on our part. Jimmy loved both Adam and Jesse like brothers and can not believe we will never again get one of his amazing bear hugs. He always lived life to the fullest and he always had so many people who loved and cared for him. Our love and prayers go out to all of you while dealing with the loss of your son, brother, and father.

Dear Rhonda and Dave. There are no words that can be expressed. I pray the Good Lord will give you comfort, support through this time. I didn't get to know Adam, but his mother, Rhonda, is my bestest cousin, and my family is the bestest, so I know Adam was only an awesome person. May you find peace throught our Lord Jesus and knowing that you will someday be reunited with him.

August 30, 2011

Dear Rhonda & Family,
Part of my heart is still in Colorado Springs...I read of Adams life here and know that we are here in such a short space of time. I just wanted you to know that I care much of your loss of your dear son. My dear step dad Dace once told me 'for those who know the Lord Jesus, these times here are hard but we look forward to the GREATEST joys, worry free, with Jesus and those we love in Eternity. I look forward to seeing my son William again soon along with Lucinda and many others. The Lord knows the pain behind each one of our tears...I rest in that often in these years later.
love forever, Bruce

Some people accomplish more in a short life than many who live to be old and grey. I didn't know Adam personally but knowing Dave I am sure he is proud of the way his son lived his life. Touching other lives and knowing you are a better person for having known someone - that is truly a gift.
