I´m so sorry to hear of Alan´s passing. I was the coach of the Princeton Women´s team while Alan was coaching the amazing Air Force Academy teams. His teams always played the game the right way and represented themselves, the Academy and Alan in the best possible ways. He was a fantastic competitor but as soon as the game ended, he was the perfect sportsman and wonderful friend. He helped me immeasurably as a young coach but more importantly as a person; I will forever be grateful for his mentorship and friendship. My condolences to his family and friends.

I remember Alan for his work at the DRRI in the early 70s and his book. I will always remember his in-class technic for helping us to hear others. He was what I call a Star Thrower. I am a better person for having known him. May he rest in peace.

I have been thinking about Alan and Lisa so much lately and just found this. I am so sad to hear of his passing. I cared for him in our dental office as if he were a father. I care so much for Alan and Lisa and send my condolences to Lisa and family. Rest In Peace dear man. He was such a kind and friendly man.

I will forever remember Mr. Osur's smile and his canny way of getting me and Kirsten to think critically about our views on the world when we were in high school. Rest in Peace.

Al was my USAFA Military History Prof and played a giant role in my education and growth--as he did for so many. While he didn't convince me to be a history major, he stoked a love of history and reading that lasts to this day 40+ years later. His impact on so many was profound, positive, and lasting. A Toast!
