Albert Drummond Obituary

April 1, 1923-March 18, 2006. Albert of Calhan passed away at home on March 18, 2006. He was 82. Mr. Drummond had been a Colorado Springs resident since 1964. He was born on April 1, 1923 in Bellaire, OH to Edward Francis & Cora Rebecca (Sims) Drummond. Mr. Drummond was married on January 27, 1944 to Alice E. (Piatt) Drummond who survives. Other survivors include his daughters: Kathryn Harris (Dennis), Norma Drummond, Dena Lively (Kevin); grandchildren: Leigh Ann Layne, Adam Reed Harris (Beth), Katie Lynn Peggram, Theodore Peggram; great-grandchildren: Jessica Layne, Megan Layne, Coleman Harris, Savannah Harris and Tyler Reed Drummond. Mr. Drummond was retired from the United States Air Force. He attained the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Other activities included being Past President of both The Wagon Wheel Square Dance Club and The Ute Lakes Fishing & Recreation. Mr. Drummond was also a member of Masonic Lodge 438 in Bellaire, OH. Funeral services for Mr. Drummond will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006 at the Swan-Law Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 E. Pikes Peak Avenue, suite 600, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
