Albert Godding Obituary

Albert LeRoy Godding, 90, died November 5, 2011, in Ft. Collins. He was a printer and bookkeeper. He retired from the Milpitas School District in Milpitas, California. Mr. Godding was born October 27, 1921 in Chase County, Nebraska. He was married to Thelma Thompson of Fargo, North Dakota, who is deceased. He served the Army Airborne in WWII. Mr. Godding had many interests including rock-hounding, photography, lapidary, woodworking, and golf; he was a jewelry maker and talented hobbyist who built remote-controlled boats and planes; he was an avid reader and loved fishing. He is survived by his daughter Gina Bodtker of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, his son Mark Godding of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and his grandchildren. Committal services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, November 18 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Rose Garden, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., (719) 634-1597. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Evercare Hospice of El Paso County and Pathways Hospice of Larimer County.
