Albert Pruitt Obituary

SSGT Albert W. “Bill� Pruitt USA (Ret.), age 51, a resident of Colorado Springs from 1958-2006 passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 as the result of a truck and passenger car accident near Texarkana, Arkansas. He was an over the road truck driver. Albert William Pruitt was born on September 26, 1958 at Fort Carson, Colorado to Tommy Pruitt and Shirley Chilensky. He was a 1976 graduate of Widefield High School. Bill served his country honorably for more than 18 years of active duty service in the United States Army. He loved country music, hiking in the Rocky Mountains and cars. He is survived by his children: Michelle Pruitt of Santa Cruz, California; Albert Pruitt II of Colorado Springs; and Wayne Pruitt of Colorado Springs. Bill is also survived by his mother: Shirley Chilensky of Widefield, Colorado; his brother: Donald Pruitt, also of Widefield; and Deborah Scott. He has two grandchildren: Krista and Haleigh. Also surviving Bill is his fiancé Deborah Hendley, and his 3 step-children in Buffalo, New York. Bill was preceded in death by his step-father David Chilensky. Memorial Services with Army Honors will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful� Chapel. Cremation is planned and his cremains will be scattered in the Rocky Mountains. Memorials in Bill's memory may be made to the Albert Pruitt Memorial Fund, in care of any Ent Federal Credit Union.
