Albino S. Garcia, a loving husband and father, passed away on September 7, 2018 at home. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 45 years and was formerly a resident of San Antonio, Texas. He was a retired Army veteran and Dept. of Corrections Kitchen Supervisor.
Albino was born on May 4, 1932 to Santos and Maria de la Luz (Sanchez) Garcia in Normangee, Texas. On February 7, 1960 he married his love, Marcelina O. Rivera in San Antonio, Texas.
Albino was fond of bowling. He also enjoyed sports and had an appreciation for cooking. He served in the United States Army for 26 years; a Vietnam and Korean War Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marcelina; his children: Diana (Kimber) Michael, Patricia Garcia, Ricardo Garcia and Gloria (Gilbert) Loera; his six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; his brother, Santos; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandchildren: Ramon and Angela Lucero and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Garcia.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the Shrine of Remembrance at 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. Inurnment will be at the Veterans Honor Court Columbarium.
Memorials in Albino S. Garcia's name may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
