I can´t believe another year has gone by since we lost you, precious man.
As you know, dear friend, we said good-bye to our precious Izzy in December. The only way to get through this most devastating loss, was to see her; running to her beloved Daddy with your arms outstretched to pick her up; to never let her go.
It broke us into pieces to have to say goodbye...she was in Stage 4 kidney failure, Al. I cherish every minute we had with her. God love her.. we stayed with her till we knew she was home with you.
Take care of each other, Al; I will see you guys when I get there.

My dear friend and neighbor, Al. Another year has gone by without you. When we pull into our driveway, I´ve seen sweet Izzy gazing over at your home... Al, I know she remembers you, and the love you had for each other... Love never forgets
Tonight was a beautiful pleasant night, temp-wise, and I had quite the time coaxing Izzy in the house. She spent several minutes gazing into the evening sky. Wouldn´t we LOVE to know what they are thinking? I´ll always remember about 6 years ago, you had called and said you had some ribs in the crockpot, and asked if I´d like some. I hadn´t eaten beef/pork since 2004, and politely declined. A mention was made by you that Izzy would get a few bites.... that little girl could eat like a field hand!!! She has slowed down a little on eating, which is good, just to keep her at a healthy weight, since these babies can be prone to issues in later years. She´s at a perfect/ healthy weight, of which I´m so thankful. She´s still the sweetest little girl, Al. Never a cross word/growl to any of the others, even if they try to sneak some stuff out of her bowl; Mama intervenes then.
Happy Belated Heavenly Birthday, precious man; you´ll forever be the Cul-de-sac Treasure we enjoyed having all those many years.
I know Thor has found you by now; he adored you. All your CS loved ones send their love. Jake loved you so, and we still share wonderful memories of you.
I hope you know how much we all love you, your precious neighbor across the street, me and our families. Rest peacefully, precious man, in the arms of our Precious Lord. I will see you when I get there.

My Sweet Friend; Happy Heavenly Birthday, Al. It gives me peace to picture you at your birthday party. What we wouldn’t give just to have one more hug, tell you one more time how much you mean to us. Izzy is doing well; she’s the sweetest soul, Al. She’s slowing down a little bit, but she will still participate in barking with the girls at the neighbor’s doggies. I love to watch them. I give Izzy pain meds at night, so hopefully she gets a good night’s sleep. When one has pain, it seems it’s tripled when we’re pooped. I just wanted to remind you of how much you are loved and missed. Deb, Izzy, Claire, Marcella, Snowball and Mac.

I was a friend of AL for over 20 years. AL was a very unassuming gentle soul who only saw the best in people. His quite demeaner and caring personality made him easy to become great friends. He, like I, shared our somber moments when our pets died. For those who never knew AL, really missed out on making a friend for life. Rest in peace my friend. I will always love you like a brother.

I met Al at the Fort Carson Post Office, he was always polite, friendly, and respectful, very helpful for all his customers. Al always had a smile and pleasant greeting. Will remember his beautiful smile and personality. God Bless you Al, I know you are in the presence of our Holy Father and heavenly angels. Sincere condolences to Al's family and friends. Many blessings to you all. Lenore Goolsby

Albion you came into my life when I was 18 going on 19 and i am now 39 because you and my mom Monique feel in love! You were a father figure to my little sister Bliss and loved us both as if we were both your own! My favorite memories of you are one when you escorted my beautiful mom to my wedding and it made me feel so happy and special because you were there to share in that amazing evening with me! Also when Brian and I would come over to visit you and mom and we would all sit out in the backyard or at the kitchen table drinking tea talking and listing to music that you guys would always have playing, then on occasion you and mom would jump up and start dancing together lol! You always made me feel so loved and always welcomed! I have such a special place in my heart for you so when I asked you to take in and take care of my dog my beautiful baby Izzy you didn't hesitate and you gave her such a loving and wonderful home and it made me feel so good that you both had each other! I will always remember your one of a kind laugh that makes me smile everytime I think of it and that has been playing in my mind all week! Your love of art and your drawing talent were truly out of this world and brought joy to so many! You were such a gentle soft spoken soul but always loved and had a twinkle in your eyes that I will never forget! I remember on one occasion we were visiting you and mom and you had this CD playing with this beautiful voice of this women and I fell in love and asked you who it was and you said Corinne Bailey Rae and when we left I went straight to Independt Records and bought it and even though now it's old it still remains one of my favorite albums! Thank you for being you and for loving my mom, sister, niece, nephew, me and my family and for all of the wonderful memories! Rest easy and fly high as we and heaven have gained a beautiful angel!
Love always, Shea'

My deepest sympathies to the family and to his friends. Albion was the epitome of goodness and humility. I came to know Crich as a fellow artist. His talent was incredible and determined by a quiet spirit that defined the man. To often he would downplay his ability but his work was very unique and very collectible. I will continue to reflect upon this good person as I look and appreciate his works.

I met Al through Mr. Robert Campbell at DOIM. He may have still been active duty when we met. He was such a friendly guy. He always had a easy smile. When I found out he drew I was always asking him if he was doing it regularly. I saw him a few times a week as he made his delivery to the building I worked in until I retired.I saw him earlier this year gave him a hug and inquired as to how he was doing. He still had that easy smile and twinkle in his eyes.
To say I was taken aback when I saw this announcement is a understatement. My condolences to his friends and family.
Rest Well Al.

I can remember vividly the moment we met in 1996 through mutual friends while getting ready to attend a concert on Fort Carson and you were such a gentleman while we sat on the blanket and you were blocking and protecting me from the other concert goers! As we continued to talk you told me you moved from Germany to Colorado Springs and I lit up as I told you that I had graduated from Berlin American High. Through out the night our conversation led to me learning about your love of drawing, the arts and music! I mentioned to you that I loved Bob Marley and Josephine Baker not knowing that would lead to you drawing the first portrait of Bob Marley, later to be follwed by a stunning portrait you drew for me of Josephine Baker! You drawing Josephine Baker for me has been and will ALWAYS be one of my most precious possessions. You would laugh at me when I would say, "I think her eyes are following me" and that laugh of yours is seared in my soul and I hear it to this day! You loved and accepted my youngest daughter Bliss as if she where your own. You would always laugh ( there goes that laugh of yours again) as she would walk from the backyard across the field to school with plastic bags covering her shoes! The memeorie of you coming to my family reunion here in Colorado Springs and you being so overwhelmed with my huge family is so special that's when we decided we were going to make a road trip to Tao New Mexico to see the art festival. All of the wonderful memories of sitting in the backyard watching everything from meteorites, fireworks to the stars which led to you gifting me with my own star that you had named after me hehe! Playing horse was always great fun as you were on the New York Knicks and I was on the Utah Jazz. The amazing memories of your love for dancing inside, outside all around it didn't matter even if it was raining we would dance in the rain together. I will never forget the night you played Phil Perry One Heart One Love and surprised me with a beautiful and special proposal but also with the most shocking and stunning Platinum engagement ring! Another favorite and beautiful memory is of us going to my oldest daughters Shea's wedding. Not only was that a special memories for me but also to her as she has told me that you have always had a very special place in her heart. Waking up in the hotel after her wedding on New Years Day and you looking outside and saying "Happy New Year, but look at all this snow boo" hehe. Memories of our trip to Mesa Verde and just how fast you put up that tent showed me how skilled you were in the military. Also our trip back to your home state of New York and meeting your family will always be special. I can remeber you coming over to see my first grandchild Kimora and you were afraid to hold her, but after weeks of seeing and being around her it just came naturally and you became her Papi! It will be a year on the 22nd that you where introduced to my second grandchild Easton and you said "He's going to be a BIG boy" Albion you and I both know that we were and will ALWAYS be soulmates here on this plain and in the next!
I will always love you with all the stars in the sky, til we meet again!
All my love Monique
