Alexander Solecki Obituary

Alexander Lawrence Solecki joined the Lord for eternal playtime on June 8th, 2010 after a sudden bout with pneumonia. Born on Dec 11th, 2006 in Colorado Springs, CO, he enjoyed life to the fullest in his three and a half full years. He enjoyed walks in the woods with his parents, and most days he could be found playing with his cars and musical instruments. His charming toddler wit and humor brought a smile to everyone he met. Never one to simply walk from room to room or turn down hot cocoa, at his passing he was currently helping his parents transition from Colorado to Thousand Oaks, CA where he was eager to make new friends and learn how to swim. Little Alex is survived by many loving relatives, including his parents Larry and Michele (Kostenuik) Solecki of Woodland Park, CO, and sister Ashton Solecki of Forsyth, MT. Grandparents include Leonard and Elizabeth (Mac) Solecki of Higgins Lake, MI, George and Merle (Gagnon) Kostenuik, and Judy Berto, (grandma 'B') all of Ontario, Canada, and a great grandmother Margaret Kostenuik of Ontario, Canada. Also grieving are several aunts and uncles, including AnnaMarie and Kacee Campbell and Leonard and Caron (McDonald) Solecki, both of New Baltimore, MI, and Charlene and Keith Van De Kerkhove of Macomb, MI, Steve Kostenuik and Liette Beaulieu of Ontario, Canada, and Melanie and Brett Botbyl, of Menominee, MI. A wake/viewing will be held on Friday, June 11th, 2010 from 5-9PM at Mountain Memorial Funeral Home in Divide, CO. Then, a celebration of the life of the Lord's newest little angel will be held on Saturday, June 12th at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church, Woodland Park, CO, with viewing at 10AM, mass at 11AM with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to "Alex Solecki's AED Fund", 450 Bridle Dr., Woodland Park, CO 80863.
