Alexander Zehnder Obituary

Alexander Zehnder, Jr., 70, passed peacefully from this life to the next in the evening of February 7, 2011, at a Denver hospital. He was born October 23, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA. to Alexander and Mary (Damiano) Zehnder, who preceded him in death. Mr. Zehnder was a decorated Air Force veteran with 23 years of service to his country, followed by college and 16 years of civil service and contract employment at the Air Force Academy before his final retirement in 2005. Mr. Zehnder is survived by his wife, Patricia S. of Colorado Springs; four sons: Kenneth of Pahrump, NV; Jeffery of California; Rob L (Jenni Readnour) of Colorado Springs; and Alexander R. (Nirmali Lima) of Madrid, Spain; siblings Annamarie Mullen of Lehighton, PA.; Helen Shveima of Hamilton, NJ; and Anthony (Daria) Zehnder of Lehighton, PA. He is also survived by six grandchildren. In accordance with the wishes of the deceased, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Mr. Zehnder will be interred at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the veterans organization of your choice.
