Alfred Anderson Obituary

Alfred "Al" Jefferson Anderson, Jr. left this world November 7, 2010. He was born in Iola, Kansas on October 24, 1942. He was the son of Alfred Jefferson "A.J." Anderson, Sr. and Maxine (Pereau) Anderson, who preceded him in death. Al spent his early life in Iola and Topeka, Kansas and then in New Orleans, Louisiana. When Al was 12, the family moved to Colorado Springs. He graduated from Wasson High School. His first jobs included serving as a drive-in movie projectionist, a radio D.J., and an apprentice mortician for 2 years. After completing technical school in television and electronics in Denver, Al was hired by Hewlett Packard in Colorado Springs. He retired in 2001 after 37 years in several responsible positions. Al married Jane Frances Bruson, on September 2, 1972 at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church. Al had been raised in the Methodist Church but enjoyed attending Divine Redeemer. Al and Jane loved to listen to jazz music, visit family and travel to Hawaii. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jane Anderson; first cousins, Alice Frantz, Judy Persinger, Stephanie Crilly, Jenele Buttery, Barry Pereau, and Shari Ditzler and their families; parents-in-law, George and Jo Bruson; brothers-in-law, Mike Bruson and Dave Bruson; sisters-in-law, Marian Easton, Daisy Bruson and Robin Bruson, nephews and nieces, Bill Easton IV, Bill Easton V, Chris Easton, Connor Bruson, Dave and Cathy Easton and Lilli. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., at the Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1529 E. Yampa, Colorado Springs with Father Jim Klein officiating.
