Alfred Watts Obituary

Alfred Earl Watts passed away Friday, January 13, 2006 at his home in Colorado Springs. He was born December 29, 1926 in Ansely, Nebraska to Clifford and Lulla Watts who preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; two sisters: Ardyce Clay of Nash, Texas, Elizabeth Rose of Kearney, Nebraska; three brothers: Fred Watts of Pueblo, Colorado, Charles Watts of Ansley, Nebraska, Kenny Watts of Kimbell, Nebraska; two daughters: Sandra Fitzpatrick of Venice, Florida, Linda Hauner of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sons: William Watts of New Caney, Texas, Wayne Watts of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 13 grandchildren: Jon Eric, Laura Jadyn, Anna, Jillian, Heather, Ashley, Kyle, Amanda, Morgan, Jacob, Jarod, Craig and great grandchild: Jonathan. Alfred moved to Colorado in 1955 after serving four years in the US Navy. After moving to Colorado he began farming and ranching in Eastern Colorado. He married Barbara Kosley on December 15, 1963. He worked as a truck driver for Sears Roebuck & Company for over 30 years and enjoyed farming on the weekends. He was a loving and devoted husband and father and a very proud grandfather who cherished spending time with his family. Alfred was past Commander of American Legion Post #3 in Ramah, Colorado. Visitation will held from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home; Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 19, 2006 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1318 N. Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado with Pastor Keith Knoff, officiating. Memorials may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice. Alfred's Final Resting Place will be Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Barbara and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It's such a difficult time, but I am so happy that Al has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that he is now receiving the promise of salvation that we all strive for. May God and his angels walk with you during this sad time. Linda
