I was deeply saddened by the sudden passing of my cousin, Alice. She was part of seven cousins who grew up together and shared many holidays and family gatherings as children. Lots of good memories were made.

Alice and I were only nine months difference in age. When we were teenagers, we just lived a few blocks apart and spent hours doing each other's hair, sharing dreams of what we would be when we grew up and walking to the library and ice cream shop.

As we grew older and had our own lives, we didn't spend much time together, but we exchanged cards and the occasional visit or phone call. Without fail, Alice sent cards for every holiday. I will miss her special cards and just knowing she was there. Rest in the arms of the angels, dear Alice.
