Alice Bryant Obituary

Alice passed away on January 12, 2015 after a long, courageous battle against cancer. She was born on January 29, 1930 in Missoula, Montana to Ray and Ida Lemke. She was a good student and graduated from Missoula County High School.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bobby Lemke, sister Vi Baldwin and stepfathers Harry Werner and Ed Hirning.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Dale Bryant, sons Donald and Robert Bryant, sisters Betty Powell, Harriet Calcaterra and Linda Schindler.

Her extended family includes three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous relatives.

Alice became a military wife in 1949 and traveled extensively for the next 24 years. Her travels included tours in Alaska, Okinawa and many states from coast to coast.

Alice loved gardening and flowers. When these were not available she had hobbies such as crocheting and needle work. She leaves many afghans that still provide comfort for her family. She was an avid reader and especially liked stories of the early days in her home state of Montana.

She is a past member of the Order of Eastern Star, Miguelito Chapter in Lompoc, California.

Alice was a dedicated wife and mother. She is dearly loved by her family and will be sorely missed.

Private services for Alice will be held in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Donations in her name may be made to local cancer centers.
