Alice May (Pryer) Lodes, was born on May 8, 1935, in Orange County, California, and passed away on October 26, 2024 after a short illness in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Alice was a kind and caring person, cherished for her considerate nature. Although she was a bit shy and introverted, she nurtured deep and warm relationships with her family and lifelong friends.
Alice pursued higher education at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO. She dedicated the majority of her career to the Air Force Civil Service, with significant roles at Vandenberg Air Force Base (California), the Air Force Academy (Colorado), and Peterson Field Air Force Base (Colorado), contributing greatly to her community and country.
A resident of Colorado Springs for most of her life, Alice was a devout member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found great solace and community within her church.
Alice enjoyed walking with friends, solving puzzles, and especially cherished working in her yard, which brought her immense joy and peace.
She is survived by her two sons, Lance (Tami) and Randy (Amy), five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Alice left a legacy of love, dedication, and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew her.
Services to honor Alice's life will be held 1:00 PM Saturday November 16th at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, located at 4125 Constitution Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80909. Alice requested donations be made in her name to Holy Cross Lutheran Church at the same address.
Alice donated her body to science through Science Care, allowing others to benefit from her generosity in death as in life. For more information, please visit https://www.sciencecare.com/.

I've known Alice for over 35 years. She was a true friend and coworker. Alice was unbelievably kind and helpful. Her bell playing at church and special events was truly memorable. Alice we will miss you dearly.
