Alice Marks, 97, of Marion, Iowa, died Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Summit Pointe Independent Living in Marion. Per Alice's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, with a Vigil Service at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion, where she was a member. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Marks family: this is Teresa (Mineck) Staab. Lynn and Betty Mineck and your parents were great friends. I remember coming to your house on the west side of CR. Parents would play Clue. All of us kids would play canasta. Wed go look at the box turtles in your yard. What great memories. My sister Lynn passed 1-1/2 years ago of heart issues. Peter, John, Jeff and I still live in CR area. Sally is in NJ. Please accept our sincere sympathies.

Alice was a blessing to me, especially at the time of my husband's illness and death. Then encouraging me when I was writing a book. I will never forget her and her sweet smile.
