Alice Rex Obituary

Alice Louise Rex, 92, passed away February 15, 2007 in Colorado Springs. She was born to Enos and Frances Vap on March 15, 1914 in Deweese, Nebraska. She completed high school in Deweese and moved to Pueblo in 1932 to take nurses training at the old St. Mary's hospital. In early 1935 she met Everett Rex. After a short courtship they were married on June 28, 1935. They lived on a dairy farm for 15 years in Rye, CO. They sold their farm and moved to Pueblo in 1951. Alice worked at Montgomery Wards and also Diana's Dress Shop and retired in 1974. Alice loved to fish and camp out with her husband in their motor home. After retirement in 1974 they spent several winters in Arizona. They also took many bus tours across the country. Alice was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Everett Rex and three sisters. She is survived by a brother David (Loretta) Vap and many nieces, nephews and friends. Viewing Monday 12 noon-5pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at George McCarthy Historic Chapel on Tuesday, February 20th at 11:00 am, with burial at Roselawn Cemetery. Please omit food and make contributions to your favorite charity.
