Alma Gordon Obituary

Alma Bernice Gordon, departed this earth November 27, 2012, and will see her Savior and be with Him forever. She was born in Munising, Michigan on August 7, 1918. She met and married James Gordon of Waukegan, Illinois in 1944 and had 44 years of happiness together. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, James, her parents and six siblings. She is survived by her children James (Jean), Janel Mellander (Daniel), Greg (Jeanne), Jean Perry (Chris), 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She loved reading, traveling, cooking and watching her favorite sports teams especially the Broncos. Most of all she loved being with her family. She read her Bible daily and was in the Berean Sunday School class at the First United Methodist Church. She was a licensed practical nurse, doing private duty for many years. She will be remembered for her selfless dedication and compassion to others. She will be missed and remembered by all that knew and loved her. Services were held December 3, 2012 in Colorado Springs. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Life Care Center of Colorado Springs for their compassion and care.
