Alta Jeffers Obituary

I cleaned house for Geri for over 15 years. I loved her independent spirit, her tenacity and her candid personality. She was one of the most giving and gracious women I knew. I so admired her family and their dedication to her, and to each other. I´d watch her grandson drop in to visit her with lunches frequently on my cleaning days. Her & I would often spend time watching The Price Is Right together in the mornings, laughing at the crazy people screaming and yelling as they were called down. She´d always comment on Drew Carey and we´d laugh at his crazy outfits! We talked politics and about the administration that was in the White House at the time...(I won´t elaborate!) I will forever recall her little expression..."and all that bit..." at the end of her conversations. I remember one Christmas when she took me down to The Broadmoor one evening. We shopped and went to the Christmas House, then met her daughter, Judy for dinner at Walter´s. It was a memorable, magical evening for me that I will always cherish! She became a dear friend that I will miss dearly. So long for now, sweet Geri. We will all miss you immensely! "Well done, good and faithful servant!" Love you, Mary Kay
