*Amber*
You are my best friend in the whole wide world...that will never change. I never thought that the time would come that u would leave me before I left u. We made so many plans together and I am still planning on following through on them. I know u are in a better place and watching over me and everyone that was close to u. Words cant express how much i miss u everyday. If only i could turn back time. I am stuck in a rut and i really wish u were here to share all the things that are happening with me. U were my confidant the only one that i ever confided everything in. Little did i know that u told ur mama everything lol...its all good though. I know u are up in heaven, but i would still be honored if you would still be the new babies godmother. You are everything to me and I know that u know that. I MISS YOU SO MUCH!!! Please watch over me and keep me and everyone else safe...

Til we meet again DOOGIE!!!

LOVE,
KRISSY

There are no words of comfort for this type of loss. It is so unplanned and out of sequence in our lives. I think Hallmark probably has a hard time coming up with the right words, too. Just know I am thinking of you during this very dark time in your life. You probably do not remember me, but I worked with you at CNC for a short time as a sub. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. When you are ready to come out of your safe place away from people - know that there is a support group for bereaved parents in Colorado Springs. It is called The Compassionate Friends and meets the 3rd Thursday of every month from 7-9pm at the Baptist Church on the corner of Kiowa and Weber. Bring your husband and your son with you; I would not come alone since it is so very hard to share this type of loss. This group is the only group that truly understands your loss - they, too, have lost a
child(ren). If you ever want to meet and talk - you know where my number can be found (probably in your paperwork at CNC). I am a good listener.

Maria, Chuck & Patrick, - WHY CAN'T WE MAKE THE WORLD STOP TURNING DURING TIMES LIKE THIS! My heart aches for you, with you! It is difficult to know what to say. I just want to hug you all, because sometimes, silence is golden.
Amber is such a beautiful young lady in soooooo many ways. Cute as a button, strickingly beautiful, and the sweetest of personalities! True, this world will miss her presence. But she left something special with everyone who knew her. Of course noone will miss her like you will miss her. She will be at the gates of Heaven when you get there. She is looking down on you now, gain strength from knowing that! Living day to day will be difficult I know, but take your time to mourn! You are all in my DAILY thoughts and prayers! With Love,

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

My loved one does not dwell apart from me,
Although her presence here I cannot see.

We walk together in the Perfect Mind,
Which holds both her and me and all mankind.

Nor from the Father do we walk apart,
For God is closer than our very heart.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
