Amelia Millie Aldaz
June 22, 1932 - April 12, 2018
A resident of the Westside of Colorado Springs, Amelia Aldaz (Millie), 87, entered into eternal life in the presence of her lord on April 12, 2018.
She was born in Saguache, CO to Filberto and Josephine Abachiche who precede her in death. She grew up in Saguache, CO, one of 16 siblings and is preceded in death by 10 siblings and is survived by brothers Ernest, Levi, Eddie and Walter and sister Cenobia.
Above all else, Amelia was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by daughters, Nadine Solis, Frieda Romero (Daniel), Jeanine Martinez (Leonardo) and Carla Aldaz; and several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; and 4 children: sons, Dennis, Leonard and Carl, and daughter, Edith.
Amelia was a woman of strong faith. She served as an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 50 years. She lived each moment of her life to the fullest. She enjoyed cooking, spending time in Cripple Creek, dancing and spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by many.
Visitation will be on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade from 3-6pm. A rosary will be read that evening at 7:00pm at St Joseph Catholic Church, 1830 S. Corona. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Thursday, April 19, 2018 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 9 El Pomar Rd. Interment will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery.

What a wonderful woman, I am so honored to have known her and to be treated like one of the family for so many Year's . She is the perfect example of what every person strive to be in life , Kind understanding respect full of others I cannot say enough nice things about her, every time one of her children's friends would come to the house she would have to feed us before we left , She love to cook and was a great cook . God has blessed me with so many wonderful memories of mama A There is not a doubt in my mind that when I get to heaven someday she will be waiting for me with something to eat and some stories to tell me.
