Amy Baker Obituary

Amy Kristine Baker was born May 16, 1972 in Colorado Springs to Harry and Kathy Baker. With love in her heart, strength in her soul, and her family surrounding her, Amy passed away peacefully on February 6, 2016.

At a young age Amy was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, an incurable, terminal, lung disease. Despite the struggles of her diagnosis, she never let it define her. Growing up she defied all odds and continued to amaze doctors as she surpassed life expectancies along with many other so called restrictions.

Amy attended Wasson High School and Intellitecs' medical program to become a medical receptionist. Upon graduation she began working for Pikes Peak Cardiology where she stayed for many years, she loved her co-workers and patient's alike.

Amy took pride in helping others and was looked up to throughout the Cystic Fibrosis community.

Despite her condition, Amy truly lived life to the fullest, there were no limitations to the things she could do. She loved fast cars, good music, and the Denver Broncos; however, family was always the most important thing to Amy.

She is survived by her Mother and Father; Kathy and Harry Baker, Husband; Jonathan Stahl, Sons; Dion Romero, Noah Baker, and Jason Stahl, Dion's family; (Millie and Amy's granddaughter Nevaeh), Her Sister; Julie Platt, and her family; (Cole, Addie, Cooper); and her Brother Randy Baker with his family (Susan, Delanie, Gracie, Carson).

Amy had one of those smiles that could light up the room. She was loved by those who knew her and was an inspiration to all those around her. Although she was a real pistol, who'll be missed dearly on earth, heaven gained a real firecracker that will keep us safe from up above.

Celebration of Life, 9:00AM-12:00PM, Saturday, February 13, 2016, at The City Auditorium, 221 East Kiowa Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80903.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to assist with medical bills and final expenses.
