Amy Campbell Obituary

Amy Strohm Campbell of Chicago and Colorado Springs died Nov. 29, 2016 after a short illness. Amy was born at home in Chicago on February 20, 1918 to Albert and Raye Strohm. Her first marriage was to her high school sweetheart in Bob Noran in 1937, and she was widowed in 1944 when he died in World War II. Her second marriage was to Frederick Hollister Campbell in 1951 and she was widowed in 2011 when he died after serving in World War II, Korea and Vietnam as a U.S. Marine.

Amy survived by her daughter Susan Hollister Campbell Reneau, son-in-law Jack, three grandsons John (Tana), Hollister and Richard (Regan), great granddaughter Mary Elizabeth, great grandson Porter Barrett, and one step great grandson Ryker.

A potluck celebration of life will be on Monday, Dec. 12 at the American Legion Hall at 825 Ronan Street in Missoula, MT starting at 5 p.m. and on Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. at the Parkway Chateau at 2818 Old Fairhaven Parkway in Bellingham, WA.

We are so sorry to hear of Amy's passing. We enjoyed talking to them here in Colorado Springs on their many neighborhood walks and we have missed them since 2001.
So glad to hear that Amy will be laid to rest with Fred at Arlington. We shall visit them on our next visit there.
