Bruce was my favorite teacher at Coronado. Not that I did well in his classes really, but it was how he was so caring yet able to push for a high standard. After I graduated Coronado, I went on to ASU, where I struggled a bit Freshman year. I wrote a letter to him and he wrote back a very supportive note that meant the world to me - I still have it. If the family would like a copy, I'd be thrilled to share one. I am sorry for your loss and also that I missed going to service, as I would have had I known (I'm in Seattle). My best to you all.
