Andrew James Clarke was born on May 14, 1932 to the late Andrew Jason Clarke and Mary Etta Wasp-Clarke in Leland, Mississippi. He passed away peacefully at UC Health Central on Christmas Day.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Louis Charles Clarke; his first wife, Lottie J. Jones; and one sister and brother.
He relocated to Flint, Michigan at an early age with his parents. He received his schooling in the public school of Flint after graduating from high school. Andrew joined the United States Air Force where he became a Procurement Specialist and attained the grade of Master Sergeant. He remained in the Air Force twenty-two years and retired April 30, 1974. He then gained employment as a US Government Civil Service, and retired as Chief, Complex Contracts at Fort Carson Army Base in July 1992. He then lived a quiet life with occasional travels with the Parham's, visiting relatives and friends, and reading Time and other magazines.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Lillian H. Clarke; two stepsons, Terry Jones and Mark A. Favors; a nephew, Donald Dotson; and two nieces, Jackie Smith and Marylyn Clarke. He was united later in life with half-brothers and sisters, Rosetta Scott-Cook, Earlene Scott-Hughes, Paul S. Scott, Raymond Scott, James Scott, Joe E. Scott, Richard Scott, David Scott, Daniel Scott, and Stewart Scott. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, family friends.

A private Visitation will be held from 4:00PM-6:00PM, Thursday, January 7, 2021.
