It is very true that everyone who came into contact with Anita was drawn into the extended family. I only got to meet her once, but once was enough to be touched deeply by her. She was a kind, loving, caring woman who wasn't afraid to be herself, and encouraged others to be themselves as well. Thoughtful and unassuming, she always told it like it was, with no sugar-coating or fluff. She took in those who needed a place to stay, offered words of wisdom to those who were lost, and cared for all who crossed her. She will indeed be missed, but her spirit will be with us every step of our lives. Her legacy is her family, and the good she has instilled in them. Fare thee well, Anita...We shall carry you with us always...

Ackman Family:
Anita was a great person and the BEST waitress in the world. She always had a smile on her face and always remembered me even after not being in the restaurant for a while. I always requested her for my waitress because she knew each time I was there that I would order the same thing. I was so surprised to hear of her passing but will always remember her kindness and smile. God Bless You all in this time of loss. She will always be remembered and kept in my heart.

I am very sorry to learn of your loss. Brandy and I were friends when we were younger. Anita was always so kind to me, I spent a lot of time at your house. My mom passed away a little over a year ago, I know it is a very difficult time for you. Just take each day one at a time. With sympathy, Ann Marie (Rybeck)
