Ann Van Sant, a lifelong resident and proud native of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, at the age of 92. Ann lived a full and vibrant life, defined by elegance, and a deep love for her family, community, and animals.
Born to Judge G. Russell Miller and Hermine Miller, Ann was raised with a strong sense of ethics and tradition. She attended Stevens College in Missouri where she continued to flourish as an equestrian. She then returned to Colorado Springs where she was married and became deeply involved in the community throughout her life. She completed her degree in social work from UCCS while she was raising her family. She served as Chairman of the Debutante Ball Committee in Colorado Springs and was an active and proud member of the Junior League. In her later years, her work as a zoo docent at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and her passion for horses continued to bring her joy.

Ann was preceded in death by two devoted partners in life: her first husband, longtime Colorado Springs Mayor Robert M. Isaac, and her second husband, Arthur D. Van Sant.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Leslie Pfalmer (William) and Julie Isaac Harrington, her cherished grandson, Jeffrey Williams (Tracey) and two great grandsons, Luke and Decker. Ann is further survived by the extended Van Sant family, who remained dear to her throughout her life.
Ann was a woman of remarkable dignity, humor, and heart. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of a unique warmth that made everyone feel at home in her presence. She will be missed beyond words and remembered always with love.
