Anna Marie Bell

Anna Marie Bell passed away on March 30, 2022, 10 days after celebrating her 90th birthday.
During her husband's last military assignment, 50 years ago, they settled in Colorado Springs, CO. Anna Marie became a U.S. citizen and was a proud Army wife.
She was born in Nürnburg, Germany to Johann and Else Hammerl. Anna Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband Roy. She is survived by her nephew Georg Hammerl of Nürnburg, Germany, god-daughter Rebecca Moore of Willow, AK and many beloved friends.
She was a devoted Memorial hospital volunteer and knitted hundreds of baby caps for the hospital's new arrivals. She was an elegant presence and left a void in many hearts.
She will be buried and reunited with Roy at Fort Logan cemetery in Denver, Colorado. Anna Marie was a true animal lover and would be touched by a donation to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region in lieu of flowers.
A memorial service will be held at Cappadona Funeral Home, 1020 E. Fillmore St. in Colorado Springs on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
