Dear Lt. Col. Hintgen, and family,

I'm very sadden to hear of the loss Mrs. Hintgen. I am a friend of Anna-Marie's since Junior High School, and my memories of Mrs. Hintgen are of a beautiful, warm, outgoing professional lady. She was such a strong role model not only for your family, but for every women that had the honor of meeting and working with her. She was the definition of a true "Lady". Dear Lt. Col. Hintgen, Sirrku-Leena, and Family,

I was so very shocked and saddened to hear of Anna-Lissa's passing. She was an extraordinary woman whose love of life and concern with being the best person she could be is seen in her remarkable achievements, especially the happy and successful family she was part of. I count myself very fortunate to have had the opportunity to have been acquainted with her. She was always gracious and kind--truly living her life in line with her spiritual beliefs. She will continue to shine brightly in my memory. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.

When we moved to Colorado Springs 16 years ago we first met Anna-Liisa at the Finnish Christmas party. We remember her welcoming us very warmly to the Finnish community. After that we met her once a year in the Christmas party and she was always friendly and asking about our family. Even those infrequent meetings with her left us with a lasting impression and admiration of her kind nature. Rest in peace.
