Anne Lamont Obituary

Our dear friend, Anne E. Lamond, 81, passed away in this season of Thanksgiving, on November 30, 2015.

Anne was born July 15, 1934 in Rawlins, Wyoming, to mother, Kathleen Cantlin Lamont and father Alfred H. Lamont.

Anne spent many years enjoying the art of teaching students, where she was fondly appreciated and remembered long after her retirement in 1984.

Her art career started for Hallmark Greeting Cards in Kansas City. She attended Monticello College and went on to graduate from the University of Wyoming, and a BA from the University of Kansas. She was a teacher for the Tulsa Public Schools and Cheyenne Mountain Schools in Colorado Springs.

She was a partner in Monograms Plus, a home computer monogram business that included numerous businesses from local stores, hospitals, schools, and Broadmoor shops.

Anne enjoyed sports, she was a 20 year season ticket holder of the Air Force Academy football and also her beloved Broncos, attending two Super Bowls. She loved golfing, fishing, and RV trips from Florida to Canada.

She was a proud member of Chapel of Our Savior Church, Pi Beta Phi Sorority, U of W Alumni Asso, and LPGA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Kathleen Lamont, Phyllis Thompson, her longtime and loving companion, her uncle, Edward Cantlin, and aunt, Charlotte Romick.

She will be missed by her family, neighbors, friends, students, and much spoiled and loved Westy dog, Molly.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pikes Peak Humane Society, Shriner's Hospitals for Children, or the charity of your choice.

Thank you my sweet Anne for helping me when I was a kid save my life and grow into the person I am, for you being there for the last 48 years of my life, for modeling caring, compassion, and love both to me and my children. You and Phyllis have always been my angels on earth and now in heaven. I love you. Lynne
