Anne Shirley Obituary

Anne B. (Calderone) Shirley died Wednesday at Sunrise Assisted Living of Colorado Springs. She was 86. Anne was preceded in death by her husband Jackson C. Shirley. Anne was born January 20, 1921 in Lake End, Louisiana. The Calderone family moved to Colorado Springs in 1932. Anne retired from Civil Service after working over 30 years in the Laundry at Camp Carson/ Fort Carson. Anne liked to fish, enjoyed her cats and also her 1965 Ford Mustang. Surviving are her sister, Marie Vrooman; an aunt; several nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and a great-grand niece. Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to: Odyssey Health Care Hospice, 4465 Northpark Drive 80907.
